We use an incentive jar in our Primary class. Our jar is finally full, so we had a party at Chuck E Cheese. We had six out of seven active kids come, which was awesome! We definitely weren't expecting that many. It was an awesome surprise!
Luckily Dan took the camera and took pictures because Hyrum became sick all of a sudden. He was very pukey and miserable. And he is not a whiney pukey baby...just a stare-into-space type of sick baby. By this evening he was crawling around a bit more and only vomited if he did too much.
Because of The Sick, our laundry has quadrupled or so. Dan has been trying to keep on top of it while I took care of the sickie. We are hoping it doesn't run through the rest of the family.
When the kids were excited about going to Chuck E Cheese this morning, Ellie said, "I love Chuck E Cheese. But you'll have to hold me because I'm scared of the big Chuck E Cheese animal." LOL She meant the mascot that comes around and shakes hands or gives high fives. She's still afraid of people in costume like that.
Yesterday, after the movie, while we were at the park, Abby played peekaboo with Hyrum for a few minutes, and I just watched with a smile on my face. It is so neat to see Abby enjoy playing with Hyrum. He typically laughs or smiles so easily that it's very readily visible that he is enjoying whatever they are doing to try to get him to laugh. Hyrum is the first baby where Abby actually views it as a I'm-the-big-sister-you're-the-baby relationship.
After the movie yesterday, as we driving away, Emmett said, "Mom? I really enjoyed that movie. Thank you for taking me to see it." What good manners he has and how nice it was to hear something like that!
